The Pete Hay Early Career Researcher Prize is awarded annually to the best full paper by a member of the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group or on environmental politics to be presented at the annual APSA conference by an early career researcher (5 years since the award of the PhD at the date of the start of the APSA 2019 conference). The prize for this award includes a cheque for $250 and a one-on-one feedback and mentoring session with the judging panel for publication during the conference.
The prize is named after Dr Pete Hay, a trailblazer in the research and scholarship of environmental politics and policy in Australia and the Founding Convenor of the Ecopolitics Association of Australasia.
This prize is decided by and arranged by the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group.
