Important Notice Regarding Acceptance of Papers for 2018 World Congress
You may recently have received notification from IPSA regarding acceptance of papers for the World Congress in Brisbane. This was done with a standardised letter advising that if a delegate had two papers accepted, one would need to be withdrawn.
We wish to advise you to disregard this component of your notification, because it was agreed that people could have one paper in an APSA/OCIS session plus one in an IPSA session, and women may give two papers to improve gender representation.
Please do not withdraw your paper! If you are unsure, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for clarification, and we apologise for any confusion.
And don't forget to register as an APSA member and receive a 50% discount.
Looking forward to seeing you in Brisbane in July!
The Congress is made up of the following sessions:
- RC Sessions – organised by each of the 50 Research Committees of IPSA
- General Sessions – representing big issues and sub-fields of the discipline
- APSA Sessions - Australian Politics / Comparative Politics / Environmental Politics / Public Policy and Governance / Gender and Sexuality / Political Theory / Media and Politics
- OCIS Sessions – International Theory / International Law / International Organisations / Globalisation and IPE / Gender in International Politics / International Security / International Ethics / International Development / Politics in Oceania
The three conferences are fully integrated (please see conference diagram).
